Enclave
The Buick Enclave utilizes a high-feature V6 engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission that have several documented technical issues. Because this is a heavy vehicle, the drivetrain and steering systems are under constant load, which accelerates the wear on internal transmission components and engine timing hardware. We specialize in diagnosing these specific GM-platform faults before they result in a complete loss of vehicle mobility.
- Transmission Wave Plate Failure: The 6T70/75 transmissions in many Enclave models contain a internal component called a wave plate that is prone to cracking. When this plate breaks, the vehicle will lose reverse gear or experience slipping in 3rd and 5th gear. We perform targeted repairs on the transmission’s internal hardware to resolve this without requiring a full transmission replacement.
- Timing Chain Stretching: The 3.6L V6 engine frequently experiences timing chain elongation. This causes a misalignment between the crankshaft and camshafts, triggering “Check Engine” codes P0008 or P0017. We use diagnostic software to measure the degree of stretch and replace the chains and tensioners to prevent engine timing failure.
- Power Steering System Leaks: The power steering pump and high-pressure lines on the Enclave often develop leaks or internal clogs. This results in a heavy steering feel or a loud groaning noise during low-speed maneuvers. We replace the failing lines and flush the system with the correct fluid to restore silent steering operation.
Encore & Envision
These compact and mid-size crossovers often utilize small-displacement turbocharged engines that operate at high temperatures. The cooling systems in these models rely heavily on plastic housings and pressurized seals that can become brittle over time. Regular inspection of the turbocharger oil lines and the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) system is necessary to prevent oil consumption and driveability issues.
- Cooling System Component Failure: The 1.4L and 2.0L engines frequently develop leaks at the plastic water outlet and the water pump. Because these engines have very little tolerance for overheating, even a small leak can cause cylinder head damage. LaCrosse, Regal, & Lucerne

To maintain the “QuietTuning” characteristics of these models, the rubber bushings and struts must be in optimal condition. We also find that these models frequently encounter mechanical failures in the door locking mechanisms and intake gaskets on older V6 variants.
- Door Lock Actuator Failure: A common mechanical fault in Buick sedans involves the door lock actuators failing internally. This results in doors that will not unlock or open, even when using the manual handle. We replace the actuator assembly within the door panel to restore proper entry and exit function.

Had an annoying squeak coming from my front suspension after having some work done at another mechanic. Told them about the squeak and they didn't find the issue. Took it to another mechanic and he also could not source it. Brought it to Brisbon Auto to get worked on and they were able to identify the issue and returned the car to me promptly, AT NO CHARGE. It was apparently a very easy repair, but took a trained eye to identify. Very grateful for Matt and Doc at Brisbon Auto for the work they did on my RAV4. Highly recommend.

If I could leave more stars I would ! The customer service was superb here. They were very responsive every step of the way. They also did very good work. My truck had that common roller lifter and camshaft ticker issue and these guys got in there and rebuilt it perfectly. If there was any other damages or problems seen they were sure to let me know.
The prices made perfect since after seeing the amount of professionalism and detail they put into their work.
